Celebrations at Rutherford Square

SBHA has just turned 20, and to help us mark the occasion we treated Tenants at our Rutherford Square complex in Kelso to a bit of a party!

Guests enjoyed a delicious cream tea donated by The Cream Chimneys, which was followed by musical entertainment from John Irving and Sandy Smith of the Mickricks, appearing courtesy of charity Perfect Harmony.

And there was plenty of audience participation on the menu: Scottish Borders Tenants Organisation member Ralph Nichol pitched in to lead the room in a hand-jive, and the lovely Muriel, Rutherford Square’s longest standing resident, correctly guessed the number of homes SBHA has across the Borders after a game of higher or lower (5610!). Muriel is pictured with Tenant and Community Engagement Facilitator Louise McNeilage.

Resident Christine said: “A lovely afternoon in our day room – smiling faces, a sing-song, a bit of a jig. You made my day.”

Thank you all for helping us to celebrate!
