Croft Street Area Engagement Event
Croft Street Area Engagement Event – A huge Thank You to everyone who attended!
Following successful Community Regeneration Partnership funding of *£3m to support major improvement works in the Croft Street area of Galashiels, we recently invited tenants and residents to a community consultation. The grant will help improve the area and enhance the community, by allowing us to undertake significant improvements to the buildings and external communal areas.
Work will take place in the mixed-tenure areas in Croft Street, Huddersfield Street, Greenbank Street, Galabank Street and Hill Street. Improvements undertaken as part of this project will be fully funded by the grant, meaning there will be no cost to private homeowners.
The recent engagement event in Galashiels Volunteer Hall was a great success! We were delighted to welcome so many tenants and residents, all keen to share their views and shape the future of their neighbourhood. Thanks to their input and feedback, we now have a clearer picture of regeneration priorities for the area. We’re excited for the next steps on this journey of enhancing the Croft Street area for everyone, and we look forward to making these improvements a reality with on-going consultation with the local community.
