Fire Safety – Keeping you Safe – Clear it Away

Let’s work together to reduce the risk of fire in Tenants’ homes. Keith Goodfellow, Compliance Coordinator, comments: “We’re asking you to support our summer fire safety campaign – Clear it Away. Join us in helping to avoid fire in your home by making sure stairs, landings, corridors and garden areas are kept clear at all times. Think about your family and your neighbours safety and remove any objects that could burn or get in the way of an escape route or prevent fire-fighters getting into your home. If you see a fire-risk, don’t walk by, help to – Clear it Away.”

Now that SBC have reopened local recycling centres, dispose of household rubbish carefully, see their guidance here.

For more information on fire safety in your home, please see the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service’s Home Fire Safety Checklist Fire Scotland Safety Checklist here.

If you have any queries or would like to report any issues that may require inspection please contact SBHA on 01750 724444 or enquiries@sbha.org.uk

In an emergency call 999.
