New homes in Oxton complete!

We are very pleased to say that our new homes in Oxton are now complete, and we would like to welcome the four new families who moved in over the weekend. What a beautiful weekend it was too!

Our background research confirmed a specific need for affordable family homes in Oxton, which in recent years has seen families priced out of local housing. So we’re delighted to be contributing with these four 3-bed family homes.

These are the first new homes SBHA has built which feature air source heating: an energy-efficient, low-carbon home energy solution for off-grid homes, which will allow Tenants to heat their homes economically as well as reducing impact on the environment.

Through partnership working between SBHA, SBC and Oxton and Channelkirk Community Council, wider benefits have been generated for this small community as part of the build, including improvements to the adjacent Council-owned playpark and groundworks for a new community hub.
