SBHA providing opportunities for Young People

Here’s Kaitlyn Ogg, Business Administration Modern Apprentice, telling us about her first month at SBHA:
“Since joining SBHA as a Business Admin Modern Apprentice, I have enjoyed working in an office environment as part of a team and meeting new people. This Apprenticeship allows me to work full-time at SBHA while studying at Borders College for my SCQF in Business Admin. During my year at SBHA I will be working in four different areas of the business, which will give me a wider knowledge of what the organisation does in all various departments, including the Tenant Engagement & Communication Team, the Solutions Team, Finance and Human Resources. I am developing my knowledge in basic business administration skills and understanding the world of work. In the future I would like to do a university course in Business Administration.”
SBHA is also delighted to have signed up to the Young Persons Guarantee with Developing the Young Workforce – Borders. The initiative was launched in November 2020 to give all young people, aged 16-24 in Scotland, the chance to succeed through the opportunity of a job, apprenticeship, education, training or volunteering.
Look out for more info coming next week during Scottish Apprenticeship Week 7th – 10th March Apprenticeships.scot
